Easy going.  Funny. Beautiful.

I could go on and on about how much I love this couple.  Like really, a photographer couldn't ask for a more easy going, go with the flow couple.  We initially tried for a sunrise shoot but around 11 p.m. the night before we decided against it- no one would enjoy shooting in 25 degree weather.  After some late night texts, we settled on sunset at their new home in Virginia Highlands aka one of my favorite places in Atlanta.  We lucked out with some 45 degree weather and beautiful light.  

Another reason this couple rocks is because they are foster failures!  This means they started out by fostering an awesome rescue from Southern Animal Rescue and fell in love with him!  Walter now enjoys daily walks in Atlanta's prettiest neighborhoods with his awesome owners.  I love how things work out sometimes.  And I must say, they make a good looking family.

Kory + Errick: Engaged

This couple is very special to me. I have known Kory for over three years now as she was my official "co-worker friend" after college.  I couldn't have been happier when Errick popped the question and they asked me do their engagement pictures.   They decided to take pictures on the west end of town for an urban look then soft it up the second part of the shoot at Piedmont Park.  Congratulations Errick and Kory and may you two have a long and beautiful life as Mr. and Mrs.!

Andy+Stephanie Engagement Session

It was the weekend and it was Sunday morning and at 5 a.m. I was awake.  Sunday really is God's day because this is a miracle.  As anyone who knows me, I am a big fan of sleeping.  But what awaited me this morning didn't make me think twice about curling back up in bed.

Similar to those feelings you get as a kid the night before Christmas or that highly anticipated trip to Six Flags in my family, I felt that way this morning.  I was heading to Duluth, Ga to meet with Andy and Stephanie for their engagement session.  On my way to McDaniel Farm, the dark sky gave way to a soft, pink orange hue that reminded me of sherbet ice-cream: it's going to be a great shooting day.

Since Andy and I had been conversing over the phone and through email, I was so happy to finally meet him and his bride to be Stephanie.  To date one of my most thoughtful and easy going clients.  He took the icing of the cake when he showed up with a Starbuck's vanilla latte.   I mean talk about brownie points!  And Stephanie...the perfect match.  Both were so open and excited to be together taking pictures.  Even though it was super early, they were quick to be playful and really have fun with the poses.  This is why I love photography... you can take the beauty of our world and the love inside us and you capture that timeless moment in a medium you can take with you and pass down.  Thank you both for the amazing session!!

Engagement Sessions

In the month of October, I shot two amazing couples in Atlanta for their engagement pictures. These shoots were very different but the theme was the same: these people LOVE each other.  The energy of these couples was just magnetic.  I had such a good time laughing and joking with these couples and making the most out of our time.  I got some really great shots and I feel like the love just pops through the picture.
