About Me

Thanks for stopping by my blog!  I guess you're wanting to find out more about the woman who takes all these pictures, which is so nice of you!

When I was a little girl, I read and reread all of my dad's National Geographic magazines.  I was obsessed with the photos of all the wild places and people.   This photo in particular will always stand out in my memory as the photo that made me want to pick up a camera and take pictures.

My dad was a photographer for professional car races back in his hay-day so he had plenty of gear and knowledge to share when I wanted to get started.   There was no "auto mode" so I had to learn how to move to dials to get the proper exposure.  My parent's were super supportive and paid for me to get tons of film developed.  To this day, I have shoe boxes full of pictures taken from 1996-2004 of my home, pets, friends, sporting events and more.

After college, which was sort of a blur because I played Division 1 softball and took a full load so photography went to my back burner, I bought my first DSLR.  It's was kind of like falling back in love again.  It was at my sister's wedding where I spent half the day bugging the photographer on tips and gear that I was like, "oh yeah, these digital camera are awesome, let me get on on that!"  From there, I found an awesome mentor, Aharon Hill, who to this day is an invaluable resource to me and my passion has taken off from there.

When I am not working at the coolest marketing agency in Atlanta, I spend my time wrapped up in photography.   I enjoy spending my free time with my awesome boyfriend, my best furry friend Kona, reading, practicing calligraphy, running, trying new restaurants and drinking good coffee in the mornings and drinking the finest red wine/trader joes special at night.

Thanks for listening to my story.  If you want to know more about me or my photography, feel free to email me- I'd love to hear from you!
