Up and Coming
Tomorrow is an exciting day for me! I will be shooting a child's birthday party at Opera night club in Atlanta. This is my first solo booking and I am super excited! To be honest, this is my first time shooting kids and I've done my research. I hope the research comes in handy with 15 3-year-olds running around. I found a really great website that gives good tips on how to shoot children. Check it out for all you proud parents out there!
Here is my friend Daniel's beautiful mutt, O'Riley at Candler Park.

Why am I blogging?
I am very excited for this day-the start of my blog. Since I was a young girl, I loved taking pictures. I used to take all my dad's National Geographic magazines and look at the pictures. I would dream that I was that photographer who traveled the world taking these amazing photographs. My dad had so many cameras and our walls were filled of pictures he took. When I was in middle school, I received my first SLR camera for Christmas from my parents. I became obsessed with it. I took that camera everywhere I went and took pictures of everything. To this day, I have boxes full of photos from my childhood of my family, house, pets and trips.
Now, at 24, I'm finally coming back around to my childhood passion. Something about taking a picture, stopping that moment... it's my favorite thing to do. I bought a Nikon D5000 back in February and since then I have been mostly practicing on my dog, Kona. I look forward to my journey through photography and having the opportunity to be creative no matter what I am doing in life!
